Thippili Piper Powder:
The piperine in long pepper is said to fight parasites and infective agents. Particularly for diseases of the respiratory tract, where the powder is used.
The root is used for bronchitis, stomachache, diseases of the spleen, tumours etc. It also improves appetite.
An infusion of the root is prescribed after childbirth to induce the expulsion of the placenta, a chemical compound called Piper longum which has shown positive activity against cancer.
It is useful for liver and spleen ailments,  diabetes, stomach problems and toothache.
Directions of use:
Take 2-3 pinch of Thippili powder, and swallow it with honey after lunch and dinner to manage indigestion. Can also take 1/2 teaspoonful twice daily with plain water after meals.
